Round 48--Found Collage --Group A (11.08)
Finding six objects to shoot was more difficult than I imagined. I was rummaging through my grandfather's tool room to look for some metal bolts and widgets. I spotted the wrench and knew that would be one of my six objects. The other composition consisted of 6 fence post nails randomly configured. The same repeated shape was not working for me--so I ditched this idea. I photographed my found collage in my kitchen with a Sony digital and placed the objects on the back of a rubber cutting mat. I duotoned the image in Photoshop and adjusted the curves to reverse the image almost like an x-ray--I think this added to the interest of the piece. If I were to title this piece, it might be called "Made to Fit".

I have been collecting for as long as I can remember. Started with my dad giving me little electrical wire covers when I was a kid.
Everything in there has a memory, meaning or accomplishment behind it.
