Round 43--Gift Tags --Group A (10.07)
My gift cards would be packaged as a set of 9 with 3 cards of each. These icons were actually designed for a friend's wedding Web site and invitation. I pulled three of the icons and added the stripes and colors for a continuous element and look.

"I used some pretty illustrations combined with some images of old postcards in different languages and color blocks. I wanted the sentiment to be more general so I chose "wishes" "love" and "thanks" (as opposed to more specific "happy birthday" etc.) so they could be used for male or female of any age.
If these were finished I would back them with a fabric or interesting texture like cork and use either a dog-tag type chain to make it more masculine or a wide satin ribbon for a more girly look.
Final postcards were printed on sample stock I had around...think it was Curious Collection (ArjoWiggins) metallics? If you like, you can cut them out, put your own backing on (to cover my messy handwriting), find the perfect ribbon and attach it to a gift."

These 4 gift tags are hand printed, first with silkscreen then letterpress printed. My inspiration for the tags was old fabric patterns I can imagine being on children's pajamas. The string is a vintage baker's twine. Of course these actual designs I came up with for tags, but I am sure they would make great pajama prints! Enjoy!
