Round 40--Cookbook Cover--Group B (4.07)
The "Book of Bones" would feature recipes for homemade dog treats. I am not a cook in any way, shape or form, but my sister makes homemade treats and the doggies go crazy for them -- that's where I got the idea. The star of my card is Dozer, my gorgoeus two-year-old English bulldog. I had to bribe him with treats to get him to sit very still for the camera.

I could've sent this out about a month ago. When this one came out, I got right to work. Since I live in a rural area in northwest Colorado, road kill is always a bit of a joke. My husband and I sat down to think of a few dishes a Road Kill Cafe might have on the menu, once we got rolling we had to pick the best because there were too many to put on the cover. Needless to say, we had a good laugh coming up with the entrees. Hopefully it doesn't offend anyone's sensibilities. Also, no farm animals were harmed in the creation of this cover.

I work in-house at a gourmet food store for my day job yet I only use the microwave or the toaster oven for quick, easy meals. I figure that many bachelors are like me (lazy), so perhaps my cooking experiences would be helpful to a wider audience. But what do you do when your favorite cooking appliance dies and the stores are all closed? Pull out the toaster oven and improvise, of course! I¹m sure all ages will appreciate this tongue-in-cheek look at cooking from the single male¹s point of view. The design is retro 50s with a bit of an offbeat font to
convey the humorous tone of the book.

With my cookbook I thought about seafood because I it's delicious. So, if anyone enjoys seafood, then they might want to purchase a seafood cookbook to make their own dishes.

This cookbook is for a project that I hope to do for real one day. It is a cookbook for college/university students new to cooking for himself or herself. Hence the title "Cheap and Nutritious".
