'Round these parts Blue Man Group is a pretty popular show! So full of wackiness! I created this in Adobe Illustrator, then layered on a couple of textures, and Cheap Signage Standard was my font of choice!

I chose my favorite musical "Cabaret" for this project. I incorporated a risqué photograph with the use of the German Deutsche Mark to represent different scenes of the production. I used one of my favorite fonts, Lumos, for the header with accents done in the Euphorigenic font. Since our small town doesn't have a theater, I had to "borrow" one from Louisville, Colorado. I hope they don't mind. And remember... Life is but a Cabaret!

When I first read this project's description, I immediately thought of The Secret Garden. I had seen the play performed a few years ago and was mesmerized by its great story and haunting music. I did check out some other play options (Arsenic & Old Lace, Harvey, and a few others), but I came back to The Secret Garden because of the wonderful fantasy imagery that could be used for the poster.

Synopsis: Young Mary Lennox is sent to an orphanage after a cholera epidemic in her native India. While exploring the grounds, she discovers a seemingly lifeless garden that will bring magic and surprises to everyone at the orphanage. (What? Did you think I'd give away the ending? ;)
