Round 36--Circus/Carnival Billboard--Group B (8.06)
I wasn't in the mood to play with primary colors or fuzzy circus animals so I took a different road. I am fascinated by the old side-shows where people paid to see bearded ladies, the lobster boy and people who could twist themselves into pretzels. Now that our planet is saturated with television and internet access, it's not unusual to see a medical marvel or curiously talented person on the evening news. With that in mind, I decided to create a darker marketing campaign
that left a lot more to the viewer's imagination. I imagine "Freak Show" would display talented contortionists, sword swallowers, people who play with fire and those that like to hammer themselves full of nails. Maybe you imagine something else. With so little information available, you would have to buy a ticket to find out for sure!

I intended my billboard to be targeted towards younger children, as a fund raiser of some type. It was a fun assignment and I love every one's submissions! They look great.

For round 36, I decided to create a carnival billboard for my hometown Hamlet North Carolina. Hamlet North Carolina where I am from originally is a small area that does not have as much exciting activities; therefore, I wanted to bring excitement to the small area by creating a billboard that would want to make people jump for joy. With this creation, I focused on both the imagery and text. I furthur wanted to use realistic imagery of different rides with using multiple bright colors for the text to making the carnival out to be the biggest and coolest that people of Hamlet North Carolina has seen with the coolest rides and much more!
